FileMaker Intermediate and Advanced

About the course:

This course is designed for individuals who have attended the Introductory Course or who have experience in creating simple databases using FileMaker Pro (versions 7 +) and who now want to develop more complex solutions.

Delegates will learn basic to moderately complex Scripts, Calculations, and Functions. The course provides practical sessions using the relational model, including creation and use of relationships and portals. It also introduces scripting for automation, and represents the best way for those who want to create and maintain their own databases. Delegates will also have the opportunity to learn some tried and tested developers' techniques.

By the end of the course, delegates will: learn and use common Calculation Functions and Custom Functions; Scripts to automate tasks; using the Script Debugger and Data Viewer to troubleshoot Scripts; add Error Trapping Routines to Scripts; Script Parameters, Script Results, and Script Variables; Looping Scripts; advanced Reporting features; creating and using Portals; and adding Security Access features to a database.

This course is designed for both Macintosh and Windows who have attended the Introductory Course or who have experience in creating simple databases using FileMaker Pro (versions 7 +).
