FileMaker Pro is the leading data management tool for Mac OS X and Windows. With FileMaker Pro, you can easily manage and share customised information about customers. FileMaker Pro has powerful data modelling and reporting features, enabling effective data analysis, automation of business processes. The intuitive simple interface requires no computer programming skills, yet delivers powerful database features.

This introductory course, which follows a step-by-step approach, will provides all the basic skills required to design and build your own relational database from scratch, or perform maintenance and modifications to existing FileMaker databases. The course covers the fundamental elements of data modelling, defining the database structure and intuitive interface design. Students can progress to Intermediate and Advanced Courses on successful completion of the basic course.

Audience

This course is designed for both Macintosh and Windows users and requires no experience in relational database development or FileMaker Pro.

Course prerequisites

A basic understanding of computer systems, including navigating through your operating system, launching applications, creating, copying and saving files.

Course includes

Students will receive a comprehensive e-workbook and will be able to save copies of work carried out during the course. All our courses come with a free support period following training. Students undertaking Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Courses will receive 60 days free post-course email and telephone support, subject to terms and conditions.
